CASE STUDIES: Transportation Choices

Situation

Transportation Choices Coalition (TCC) is a non-profit organization coalition of commuters, businesses, public agencies and community groups working to bring Washingtonians more and better transportation choices -- real opportunities to take a bus, catch a train, ride a bike, walk or carpool.

TCC has three key programs, 1) Education, 2) Policy development and 3) Advocacy.

The previous Website, brand look and logo was not speaking to its younger constituents, donors, partners and politicians.

Solution

Based on our findings, there needed to be changes in their look and feel to reach younger constituents as well as donors and funders. The key was to bring people and their stories into the marketing materials.

It was important that their logo tell more of a story, not simply about getting from point A to Point B, but about lifestyles and the many options available. The expanded color palette provides greater energy in the materials and representing their dynamic people and the work that they accomplish.

In the logo we shortened the name from Transportation Choices Coalition to Transportation Choices. This was done for two key reasons: 1) We used the name that people called the organization and 2) The original name was to long.
